Just taking a step back and concentrating on the topic of is it right to punish old people for crimes they committed in the past... Do you feel there should be some sort of statute of limitations for when someone can be tried for a crime they committed? Personally I don't. To me it's very important to ensure someone who breaks the law in a major way is tried no matter how long has passed since the crime.
