Captain Commando (Arcade)

Replayed via Capcom Beat 'Em Up Bundle on the Switch with a friend online. Played the Japanese version. He was Sho (Ginzu the Ninja) and I was Jennety (Mack the Knife). I ended up getting the high score.

It plays like a much better tuned up Final Fight. I always did like the ability to run upwards and downwards. Doing 3 different jumping attacks is also neat (Vertical Jump, Jump Forward and Running Jump Forward).

A Dark Room (Switch)

This game...was quite the game. It drew me in and I couldn't put it down when I started it up.
It's modeled/inspired by Zork.
The game is all told in text and you are given a number of actions to do in text boxes.
As you get further along when you gather resources, you get a new place to explore called A Dusty Path. This is where the game REALLY starts to get interesting. Suddenly the gameplay shifts into an overhead map-like grid and you can go to explore the path to new locations. You also get into RPG styled fights. The end of the game was...really something.

Another interesting thing I learned about this game was at one point it was pulled from the Nintendo eShop because Amir Rajan, the developer of the game included a Ruby editor in the game as "a last second 'spark of inspiration.'" Rajan apologized for the incident, stating that he simply wanted to introduce people to coding.
At the time all you had to do was plug a keyboard into the Switch and press the Tilde Key to access the Ruby editor. A Dark Room was eventually put back up on the eShop but it was updated so that you can no longer access the Ruby editor.

Bot Vice (Switch)

This game was pretty damn awesome. It's a gallery shooter (reminded me of an overhead version of Cabal).
You can move left, right, take cover and a roll which gives you i-frames. You can also get a lot of weaponry that can do all kinds of damage like a Machine Gun, Spread Shot, Flamethrower, Rocket Launcher and Grenade Launcher.
It has some nice pixel graphics, gameplay is fun/challenging and even some of the voice acting was pretty good.
