Cunningham gets props for directing the first movie, and this was his first time back since then. He is on record saying he dislikes Jason and it showed in this movie. It was awful. That's why he should just move on. He is why the series is in limbo right now. He wants to collect $$$ for a series he doesn't even like. He only directed the first movie and Goes To Hell. He didn't even come up with adult Jason, or the infamous hockey mask. He deserves nothing other than credit for being behind the camera in the first film and whatever money that movie and Goes To Hell continues to make.
