I have issues with the game. For one I insisted on playing it on Master difficulty, so the Focus mechanic was just... completely deactivated. There's no need to pick up Poppies, or go see the Beggar Queen, and the "Focus Upgrades" tab on the pause menu is just grayed out. Also certain elements of the game actually only work if you have Focus.

The tone is a downer. Everyone's just sick and depressed and saying "fuck" all the time.

And then there's the bugs. I've listened to characters start a conversation, then restart the conversation while the first conversation is still continuing, resulting in a lousy loop. The sound design in general is pretty lousy in terms of direction and volume, which sucks because a lot of the quality of the Thief series was in the sound design.

Also there were times when I saved the game, watched a guard go one way, then reloaded the quicksave and the guard went the opposite way. Quickloads can also reset dialogue you may have already heard from before you quicksaved.

And I get the idea of loot being in drawers making it more real than in past games where it was all just sitting out, but I spend so much time just rummaging through desks and cabinets and it's just not all that fun.
