Case 5-4 - The Cosmic Turnabout

We explore the Space Museum. Hmmm... a parallel construction, with the ability to move rockets once they've been moved. Hmmm...

I like Ponco, but I'm a little worried for her safety. I feel like if she asks anyone the wrong questions for followup, she's gonna get deactivated. Phoenix was a little surprised that someone programmed the emphasis on budget into her speech patterns. But if you think about it, who likes to come to a Space Museum? Aside from plenty of space-enthralled adults, there are plenty of small children who would love a space museum. Ponco can capitalize on their imaginations and when she says, 'we need more money', the children put the screws to their parents to put something in the donation box. It's a perfect game, really. She reminds you to visit the gift shop in canon, too.

We see an old pic of the HAT-1 team, everyone looks happy and younger. Solomon Starbuck slings an arm over the shoulders of Clay Terran, then a high school protege who had borrowed an official HAT-1 jacket for the photo op. You don't do that if you're not close to the person, or you might, if you're uncontrollably gregarious. Starbuck strikes me as an actor, awesome when they're 'on' and performing, but otherwise a little humdrum.

We return to the Launch Pad 1 Corridor to squeeze any additional info we can out of Det. Fulbright. He gives us a ton of fingerprint info, as well as a photo of the closed Launch Pad 1 door, saying Prosecutor Blackquill was really interested in it 'for some reason'. A little difficult to make out, but it seems that the fingerprint/handprint recognition kiosk reads 'OPEN' even though it's red.

The dopey detective runs a test on the fingerprint for us, figuring out that Mr Starbuck was the last to open the door on that side. We talk to him for a little bit longer and then we ask him why he is being so helpful, and Psyche-Locks appear! Whooooa!

I guess we'll start breaking some locks tomorrow. See you Tuesday!
