I am now on a kick. what genre? the classic yuri trinity is Girl Friends, Sasameki Koto, and Octave to give you an example of the prototypical schoolgirl yuri (Girl Friends basically wrote the textbook for future schoolgirl yuri manga), high school romangst yuri (Sasameki Koto), and adult life yuri (Octave). that said, the quality of yuri manga nowadays is a lot higher than those (imo) with the obvious title being Bloom Into You. School Zone is also shaping up to be another classic (comedy). and i cant mention comedy without giving a shoutout to Yuri Mekuru Hibi and its sequel Yuri Mekuru Oshigoto. if you want action, theres Gamma (superheroes) and Murcielago (lewd and hyperviolent). for trashy telenovela dramas, theres Citrus and anything by Kodama Naoko (the queen of trashy telenovelas). and of course theres also Qualia the Purple, aka the greatest manga of all time. --- ...
