I'm really not sure how to explain it other than that they really aren't qualified to be translating, or at least need a lot more of a quality check process. honestly just their upload speed should scare you away, there is no way they can be producing actual quality output uploaing nearly 20 videos in the past week. otakmori is just like... even before getting into their translation ability (which is also not good) I feel like they have gone beyond just clickbait and feel almost malicious? they've dialed it back a bit recently as far as I can tell but their choice of what to clip, how its presented, how they title/thumbnail it really felt to me for a long time like they're just trying to stir up trouble. as far as I'm aware they're also the only subbing channel that's been told off explicitly by hololive staff and had one of their videos linked on the subreddit removed which is like some sort of absurd claim to fame?? they really don't know what they're doing any also have basically shown extreme resistance to any help, constructive criticism, or corrections of any kind https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/160488682925719552/804388083003949106/unknown.png this ended up being a bit ranty but it's something I have pretty strong opinions on so whatever. it's not just like translating anime or something - if you're subbing vtubers you are taking on the responsibility of conveying the words, thoughts, and personalities of an actual real person to hundreds or thousands or even more people and so I have no qualms trashing on people who do it particularly poorly. especially since a lot of the fastest / most prolific subbers are often the bad ones (gee it's almost like spending no time on your work makes it bad) but because they upload so much youtube just stuffs their videos in everyone's faces. the whole system is so messed up and every time I see people recommend these channels I just get more and more annoyed at the whole thing --- THIS IS WHAT I HATE A BOUT EVREY WEBSITE!!
