You know I was so lost in theory crafting I forgot to comment on what really struck me as weird.

And I say this, not to body shame. I know a lot of people struggle with their weight and their are reasons for it and I understand that and there is nothing wrong with that.

But.

BUT.

This guy is the ULTIMATE IMPOSTER. He is so much an ultimate imposter, the school literally doesn't know his real name or where he comes from. He wandered into a crowd when he was seven, assumed the personality of a little boy, and his parents couldn't find him again. They don't even know his gender. They are such the fucking ultimate imposter that the person in this game could be a woman.

And this asshole has the AUDACITY to weigh 600 pounds. Have some fucking respect for your craft, man. You weigh four times as much as any one else in that school. How dare you impersonate Byakuya? HOW DARE YOU? How insulted would you be if someone was like "yo this guy is the ultimate imposter and he has assumed your life perfectly and we literally can't tell you two apart" and then the guy showed up and he was the size of a hot air balloon. How mad would you be? It reminds me of this sketch:

Like...hey, assholes, you know which one is me! Stop pretending you're confused so you don't hurt this guy's feelings because it is insulting to me.

What could this guy even be after school? You see all these other ultimates and it is like "ok Teruteru could run the biggest restaurant in Japan and Kazuichi can make some incredible new technology and Mikan could find some role in any hospital in the country." What about this person? What calling is there for someone that can mimic someone else perfectly other than the fact they weigh 400 pounds more than their target? What is he getting hired for? Impersonating someone you hated at your twenty year high school reunion so you can convince your classmates they got fat since they last saw them?

He can mold his appearance and mannerisms and personality down to the smallest detail, but losing a little bit of weight is a bridge too far for him? I understand it is for plenty of people, but the ULTIMATE IMPOSTER does not get that excuse. Of all the ultimates in any game, this dude is the least deserving of the title.

...sorry I went off on a tangent there. That wasn't even meant to be the purpose of this post.

What the hell was the reason for fat Byakuya? I am so confused. It makes me look back on case 1 a little less fondly, honestly. Sure I was shocked Byakuya got killed, but then the twist is "haha it was a fake dude all along" and I feel like they cheated. You get the shock factor without the risk of actually killing off a popular character. Is there a reason for this? (Don't tell me if there is) I can't imagine there is one. How utterly bizarre to throw in a fake, fatter version as a misdirect. I know there is so much media I've never even been exposed to or heard of, but I can almost guarantee this is the first time in the history of any story ever that a character gets fake killed off because a very fat doppleganger was just pretending to be him for a while.

How WEIRD. In a game of weird things, this might be the weirdest yet!
