Did the other one purge or fill up? Either way I'm sorry I wasn't around for the end of it. Last year was a stressful mess and I kind of forgot this topic series existed for a while. The last horror related media vcharon and I watched were the Haunting of Hill House and His House. I'll give my full thoughts on them on Monday (if I don't forget again), but for now I will highly recommend both if you have Netflix. We're a bit reluctant to check out the Haunting of Bly Manor because it seems like it didn't quite live up to its predecessor, but we'll get around to it eventually. Also while far from a horror, Promising Young Woman does feature elements of it along with lots of suspense and some fabulous twists. The last fifteen minutes in particular are a thrill ride I didn't want to come off of. Char didn't watch this one with me, but I recommend it as well.

All in all this is shaping up to be a much better year for horror. Can't wait for Resident Evil VIII (feet tall). Biding the time by watching playthroughs of At Dead of Night which I will hopefully get the chance to play myself soon. I've had almost everything spoiled on it aside from the ending which the developer has apparently asked streamers not to share in it's full capacity so I'll just have to see it for myself.

Edit: Oh I forgot to mention we saw Freaky as well in November. It was alright. It was promising enough to get us to venture out to see films in theaters again, but nothing super memorable or genre-defining. As far as subversive meta horror/comedies go it's above average I suppose. Of course that's not my favorite subgenre, and I feel like nothing will ever do it better than Cabin in the Woods did it - go ahead change my mind. We liked it, but I doubt we'd go out of our way to see it again.
