Afaik short % is updated daily (at least publicly) so the shorters could quietly close their positions one day and then people see it after the day that the short percentage is something reasonable like 20% now and it craters the next day on market open. I'm not saying that I think it will be as drastic as that, but it's a possibility. I don't think its likely quite yet but the point is that no matter what buying a stock well above its actual value carries some degree of risk, and a stop loss does not protect you from it. --- DPOblivion beat us all. ...
