The reason you're not supposed to get it is that you are almost certainly still immune from being reinfected for at least 90 days after having covid, so it's better for society as a whole if someone else gets the dose as long as we're supply-limited. I don't believe there's any reason to think that getting one before that time would be unsafe (though I'm not 100% positive about that). That's what I figured. I only ask because my mom tested positive on Christmas Eve (it was mild) and she's getting her shot on 1/30. she's super old and has pre-existing conditions though so I guess she should still get it. she also lies in a nursing home and I guess this might prevent spread? --- while you slept, the world changed ...
