Oddly enough, I have heard the one thing that has kept most office workers at home: Open floor plans. The CDC drafted a plan to go back to the office back in June and one of the biggest regulations was that the office had to have full cube walls between desks and people had to be seated at least 6 feet apart. Look at any modern office and that is pretty much impossible, so they have been forced to keep everyone home until they either change the entire layout of their office space, or until those regulations are lifted (which isn't going to happen any time soon). And with how productive WFH has been shown to be why would they spend the money to re-organize their office?

Yeah we have the open floor plan low cube walls too and each set of cubes houses two people back to back. They already stuffed us in like sardines to use the buildings. They wouldn't be able to fit all of us if they had to socially distance us.
