Simoun 01/25/21 2:42:32 AM #69: | Brave Fencer Musashi (PS1) I finished this game a long time ago using cheats. Now I've come back to finish it for real and now its Done. All action figures acquired. Done. BFM remains my #2 game of all time, hands down. It is a testament of what a AAA company aspires to achieve when they get their shit together. It is wrought with innovation for a game made in 1998 and it was my first foray into Action RPGs. I've been meaning to come back to this for a long time now and I have to say I was a little afraid, but as it turns out this is probably the only game I've played in a long time where the nostalgia goggles stay glued to my face. I whistle to the soundtrack I fondly remember. I play the game by heart, like picking up a bicycle after 20+ goddamn years. I have no complaints. Even Steamwood was a refreshing thing to come back to; you just don't get that many fairly unforgiving minigames in RPGs now these days. I implore anyone who hasn't played this to give it a chance. It's still good and it's still well-made. Unfortunately, it seems the only way is to emulate unless you can hunt down the disc. --- It's not so cliche anymore when it's happening to you. ...
