It took me a long time (longer than it should have, tbh) to understand why a lot of women are scared of men/being outside at night/etc. I always thought "I'm a kind person and would never hurt a fly, and neither would any of my friends or family". Slowly but surely I've seen enough situations that have shown me how disgusting men can be. The only time he's even put his hands on me was to prevent me from breaking our shit so I'm not even rly innocwnt here.
