If you can use your skill to win 54% of your games at a high level of play then you are very very good. But you are also still losing nearly half of your games. You just have to be okay with that, because a 54% edge in something like poker would make you a bajillionaire.
i appreciate the analogy, and i would totally agree in an RNG-influenced game like poker. i used to play Hearthstone and i wouldnt get pointlessly upset over unlucky draws and bad bounces. To me its ludicrous to solo queue in something like League and more or less bash your head against the wall to get your winrate up. If the game is skill-based i want skill to be the sole determinant, or at least the main determinant. To lose at CS or something to shitty teammates on a consistent basis is mind-boggling. i guess this is why i stick with 1v1s
