There are definitely those games where I played my absolute best and we still lost that make me question why I bother. Or there are games where I played awful and we still won (but we tend to forget those I think).

I think if you're completely focused on winning then you're going to have a bad time. I mean even with a 60% winrate (which is CRAZY in games with balanced matchmaking) you're still losing 4 out of every 10 games. So if you're playing for fun instead of for winning I think you'll have a better time.

My personal problem with Overwatch is that you basically can't play the fun modes for fun because they have the silly "win 9 games, get 3 lootboxes" crap every week. I can't ignore that quest even though the rewards are pointless so losses make me extra mad. If I play for 2 hours one night and lose every match I'll be crazy mad because I feel like I didn't make any progress toward this stupid quest that I shouldn't care about.

If Overwatch changed that quest to be play 9 games or even play 20 games I think the amount of toxicity would plummet. Of course I'm only taking about the Arcade modes, I don't touch competitive with a 10 foot pole because people care about their silly OW rank points too much.
