It contains 5 new stages on top of those old games and it seems to be generally agreed upon this is the best Hitman game to date and delivers a thrilling conclusion to what has been building over these 3 games. At it's core it is basically more of the same style of gameplay, however I don't think anyone really expected it to be more than that.
