But yes of 10 months design and 2 months coding is not my work culture. It depends where you are. We are a late stage startup and have a build fast ship fast culture. I would say it's more 33% of my time for documentation/design of large projects. Though lately I have been coding very little since I've been working on something ambiguous that requires a lot of investigation.
