This alt right/white national/trump supporter label started after Trump, now famously, reversed the fake news Russian bot scandal back on them at a white house briefing. They needed new ammo for propaganda and they kept saying it until it stuck. Now every tide pod eater repeats it because its trendy. Truth is, they are just normal people tired of the hypocrisy and vicious nature of the alt left.
