Its important. Even if its not important to me, its still important. If my vote can help someone else out there, then it would be selfish not to cast it. It was selfish for me not to cast it. And that goes for anyone staying out of it. Youre deliberately avoiding a chance to put people who you agree with, into a position where they can help others. Whether it affects you personally or not shouldnt really be the reason you choose to not participate.
Why do people try to frame selfishness as bad it's just being pragmatic, hell the biggest problems in america come from people voting against their self interest. No one making less that 900k a year benefits from voting republican.
