Maybe he racked up a ton of debt and/or just blew all the familys money and thought it was all going to come to light if he lost his job as a result of this. Yea I once knew a guy who had a small construction business, built a home, picked up more construction equipment, had a lady and kid. But fucked it all up, the IRS was about to take everything because he screwd around with his taxes and he had loans he couldn't pay back.
