The two other White Moth Black Butterfly songs I had in the running were The Serpent and Evelyn.

Just realized I forgot to comment on La Muerta, but I don't really have a lot to say about it anyway. Honestly, the lyrics aren't any clearer to me than they are to you. The main riff in the song is so, so sweet, though, and the rest of the instrument work accompanies it well. Plus, Arno Menses is probably one of my favorite male vocalists in all of music. Both Subsignal and Sieges Even have some amazing harmonies in their work.

Tightrope has a very special place in my heart for potentially being the first rock song I ever listened to. My parents had a fairly extensive vinyl collection when I was really young, A New World Record being among the albums in it. I can't remember for certain if that was the first non-country record they ever played for me, but it's one of only three possibilities and, since Tightrope is the first track off of it, there's a pretty good chance. Even aside from that, though, it's always been one of my favorite ELO songs. I remember being surprised to discover it wasn't one of their biggest hits, but it kinda made more sense as I got older and realized that I generally enjoyed their sort of second-tier hits (Sweet Talkin' Woman, Turn to Stone, and Showdown, to name a few others) a little more than their very tippy-top most well-known stuff. So groovy.

I definitely didn't see King of Swords going down before If All Goes Well coming. I figured it was a toss-up between that and Bitter Suite IV/V for your favorite Act IV offering from the beginning. I remember how high Number City was on your first ranking topic and expected this one to hit that same sort of weird poppy disco feeling. I imagine all the dead space at the end kinda hurts it, too. It's just such a fun song, though. Steadily climbed up my ranking of the album over the years. Comes out of nowhere after the very subdued Abandon and it's a fantastic concert closer. And it's a small thing, but I also love how incredibly perfect the title is given the meaning of the Tarot card it comes from.
