Topic	The Board 8 Discord #sports Chat Ranks Their Top 100 Respective Games

Elite Beat Agents (DS, 2006) What a fantastic, wacky, and lovably charming little game this turned out to be. Honestly, should be higher (sorry I'm gonna do this a lot probably, so I just did and made it number 78). I think everyone knows what kind of game this is but just in case, its a Rhythm game based on tapping circles on your DS touchpad to the indicated (and sometimes syncopated) beats. You play a group of agents tasked with helping the general community with various perils they are in, ranging from... y'know I was gonna list em here but I'm about to rank em below so have fun! The scenarios are (basically) all fantastic and weird, and all have a ton of heart. How well you do at the song, shows the characters either succeeding or failing at what they're trying to do,in different parts, based on what part of the song you're on.And then ultimately passing the song succeeds in their goal... or fails if you fail, obviously. With a Phoenix Wright style wrap-up image at the end. The track list is pretty solid, though not fantastic but I could barely tell you that most(all?) of them are covers. Ultimately, we save the world from music-hating Rhomulan aliens to the rockin' tunes of Jumpin Jack Flash, but not before making a little girl not sad about her ghost dad, to You're The Inspiration, which is really sad and gets me every time (the beats in this song sound different than the rest). I also like all the characters show up in each other's scenarios, and then they're all at the end obviously. Makes it feel like a nice little community where these people all know each other. Anyway, I suppose I will rank the scenarios, based on some unknown combination of Song and Scenario. Note this is the general overall order of my list, which takes precedent over the way I named the categories which aren't perfect. *A Tier of their own:* You're The Inspiration--A daughter and her mother cope with the tragic death of her father at Christmas :( Jumpin' Jack Flash-- The community has held off the music-hating aliens for now!! But they have turned our to stone!! Only the power of music can save them now!! *Good or Great songs/Great plots:* September--An overworked weatherlady finally has a weekend to spend with her son outdoors except it is going to rain and fighting the dilemma of disappointing her son vs lying to the viewers she says it is going to be sunny, so she must use fans, hang gliders, and anti-rain dances to make it not rain! Highway Star--A boy's dog takes a nap on a pickup truck, winds up 300 miles away, and has to make his way back home! ABC--The pet cat must save a wandering baby from the perils of a construction site! Believe--An out-of-work down-on-her-luck singer must work her way up to her dreams! *Bad Song/Great plot:* The Anthem--A baseball star falls from grace, and becomes a theme park worker, but must use his baseball skills to help defeat a rogue lava monster! *Good Songs/Good Plots:* Canned Heat--A ninja father and son's car company has its plans stolen by a rival company, so the father tasks his son to infiltrate and retrieve the plans! Material Girl--A pair of diva celebrities on a cruise with no survival skills are shipwrecked on a deserted island and must survive with the help of animal friends using only the art of seduction! Survivor--A nut-loving truck driver must put a stop to the hoards of kissing zombies and a mushroom crab overlord who just happen to be weak to nuts! *Great songs/Mediocre Plots:* Rock This Town--A Magician and his assistant must stop the card bandits from ransacking the casino so they can perform! I Was Born To Love You--TOTALLY NOT DA VINCI must win over TOTALLY NOT MONA LISA with his art and inventions! Let's Dance--An Oil Tycoon goes bankrupt when his well dries up, he loses everything to his wife and must make his way back to the top! *Bad songs/Good plots:* La La--A sprinter has fallen ill with a fever and it's up to a white blood cell nurse to fight off the evil viruses before the big race! Without A Fight--The music-hating aliens finally attack and turn everyone who loves music to stone! *Meh or Bad Songs/Mediocre plots:* Walkie Talkie Man--A Babysitter needs help watching the kids so she knows if she can go steady with my boyfriend! Sk8r Boi--An over-ticketed Taxi driver must drive a pregnant woman to the hospital! (This song is fine though I guess) Makes No Difference--A director must make an epic movie featuring Meowzilla! YMCA--A sea captain searching for treasure is abandoned by his crew! Did I spend too much time on this? YOU BET KID!!
