Rock Band 1 was great - the perfect answer to the constant want from Guitar Hero to have bass vocal and drums added to the package and me and my college buddies were absolutely addicts. They brought their demo trailer out to just outside my dorm to promote the game like they were a rock band and even had a little set up where you could perform one of the demo songs (possibly my favorite from the whole game, Soundgarden's "Black Hole Sun") and naturally I did that and still have the picture from it somewhere. Anyway, the game actually had some musical depth to it and as a musical nerd that naturally appealed to me far more than the more streamlined Guitar Hero experience.
