The totally not the girls from this game crew hear a noise, and go upstairs and find a dead body. Their high school experience had waaaaaaaay more corpses than mine.
Not-Hiyoko thinks the broken window is evidence the killer jumped out of it. But why wouldnt they just open the window someone smarter asks. Because they were in a hurry someone dumber responds. I know when Im in a hurry, I dont take the two seconds it takes to open a door when I can just lumber through it instead. This is how people get banned from Pizza Hut, not-Hiyoko.
Pretty sure Girl E did this, whoever that is. She was right outside the room and likely just ran the key to the teachers lounge before everyone else got here. Either that or, sure, the magical flying pervert did it.

Okay, so Girl D took a picture that incriminates Girl E, shows it to Girl E, and then tells Girl E not to worry because she wouldnt tell anyone else. Apparently Girl Dead was tormenting Girl D, and Girl E choked her out to stop it. Oh, and Girl D is Mahiru because Girl Dead was in the same photography club as her. Jeez game, way to just go ahead and spoil everything for me.
Guy F shows up and is all like THAT BITCH I WILL KILL THAT BITCH a.k.a. Fuyuhiko. You could tell the character model was secretly a short dude with an anger problem. Alright, so his sister gets killed, Mahiru helps cover it up, and when Fuyuhiko figures this all out her murders her with a baseball bat? Is that too obvious?
The ending credits show all the names of the characters involved. I recognize Hiyoko and the Kuzuwhatcha clan that Fuyuhiko is a part of, but the others are probably last names that I havent bothered memorizing. Im going to assume Im right and the girls are Mikan, Hiyoko, Mahiru, and ??? maybe Ibuki but Im not 100% on the last one.
Also, when Girl E was trying to dispose of the photo that incriminated her, she didnt destroy it or eat it or launch it into the sun. She put it down on the ground and ran away. Great job, moron. This is why Fuyuhiko ganked you.

Ibuki invited Mahiru to come to the beach, she says, but Mahiru was busy (also she had just gotten naked like two scenes before and wasnt due again for another couple of hours). Mahiru invited Ibuki out instead, but Ibuki already had fun beach plans that didnt involve getting murdered to death by a baseball bat.
Mahiru invited Mikan out too, who also declined because she had plans. UhMahiru? Maybe just go to the beach party that literally everyone you wanted to talk to was already going to be at.
Hiyoko is like NO SHE NEVER TALKED TO ME SUSPICIOUS IM NOT SUSPICIOUS and jumps out a second story window to avoid talking to me. Nagito says something weird then leaves.
Uh oh. We find the pictures that were the prize for beating the game first in Mahirus room and it shows Ibuki, Hiyoko, and Mikan together. AHHH OUR MEMORIES REALLY WERE STOLEN WHAT A TWIST WHAT A nah this happened in the first game and Monokuma told us like twenty times already.
We also find pictures of a broken vase, dead Fuyuhikos sister, and dead girl E a.k.a. no I dont know how those photos got in that envelop officer I was given it as a prize combo pack.
Oh theres a note that implicates Fuyuhiko as the person who gave the pictures to her, promising to talk to her once she beat the game. Smooth move, Fuyuhiko. A real master of crime you are.
That probably clears Fuyuhiko though. Evidence that too strongly ties someone to a murder is always a red herring. Curses, I thought maybe wed get rid of another super annoying character two cases in a row.
Hajime is given a choice of investigating Fuyuhiko with Chiaki or looking at sand footprints with Nagito. He chooses Nagito. This is why you arent allowed to pick things, Hajime. Were going to get to the beach and Nagito is going to be eating the sand because an ultimate stepped on it.
Gundham shows up and is like well IM GLAD you didnt invite me to the beach I didnt even want to go I was busy I was at a better beach with hookers and blackjack WHY DIDNT YOU INVITE ME WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH. Gundham, please, go look for clues. Youre going to die if we cant solve this now is not the time to sulk about missing a beach party.
Apparently while we were all investigating, Nagito stole everyones shoes so he could figure out who made the footprints in the sand and not because hes the ultimate foot fetish-ist. Suuuuuuuuure. He claims the footprints are Hiyokos and I tell him he can keep the shoes Ill just walk around barefoot from now on.
Nagito also stole gummies from Hiyokos room. Im now just waiting for him to pull out a pocketful of underwear and try to tell me how these are the key to solving the whole case.
Mikan used this time to finish the autopsy, and has determined that Mahiru died instantly. Also she found a note in her pocket that is like Hey it is me Hiyoko I am saying SUSPICIOUS THINGS to make you think Im the murderer but Im not. Not falling for it game. Theres too much evidence that its Hiyoko, which means clearly I cannot drink the wine in front of meerI mean, clearly it isnt her.
Sonia reveals her research too. Hey, good job gang not being useless. Everyone is doing something! Except for the dumb ones, but thats ok dumb people just dont mess anything up!
Sonia links the murder to Sparkling Justice, another serial killer because we havent used all the tropes from the first game just yet. Nagito laughs and says Im pretty sure Ive seen a twist like this in some video game I dont laugh because they ran out of their self-referential humor budget like a case and a half ago.
Fuyuhiko doesnt show up for the class trial right away, so the little robot bear hulks out and gets super buff. Every now and then, you are fairly certain you happen upon a sentence that has never been uttered by man before, and Im nearly certain that is one of them.
