You think it requires more skill than Apex and Fortnite?
Well high level Fortnite is pretty impressive ngl, and so is Apex which values traditional fps skills a bit more, but it is much harder to consistently succeed in Spellbreak because you won't be seeing your targets and your surroundings most of the time during late game. Featherfall is a bit more tolerable but it's much easier to get hit with Featherfall

It's also like cqc is always viable to op in late game Apex/Fortnite but cqc is not infallible in Spellbreak

Match ups are a lot more complex too. It does kinda come down to early/mid/late game dominance and balancing your side gauntlet around it or queuing up with people who will compliment your main gauntlet. But there are stuff like how Wind wants to avoid most conflict til late game where they're king, but early/mid dominant gauntlets like Earth can still make it to late game if they hunt down enough people and pick up really good loot so they can spam strong boulders late, since they can't use their main move during flight.

But also sometimes it's like you gotta pick up the right skills on the fly depending on what other people are carrying. Flight is better for aerial combat til the circle gets too small then you gotta find yourself a featherfall.

It's just not all set in stone, and you can't follow the same trends all the time like you can with Apex or Fortnite. I admit I suck at Fortnite and am ok at Apex, but I've played all 3 to feel Spellbreak has a much higher ceiling
