| Lightning Strikes 01/06/21 9:28:37 AM #183: | In Ireland before independence they introduced the Single Transferrable Vote first in some constituencies, then for the whole country, to specifically benefit the unionists and block the republicans. Ireland ended up fully adopting it after independence anyway, and now it has arguably the best and most democratic electoral system in the entire world.
