Nagito: But people who cant winpeople who dont try to winpeople who try their best and still cant winthey are all worthless trash. Nagito sounds equal parts crazy and college football coach who is afraid hell get fired if he loses the next game.
Nagito: No matter how much a penguin tries, theres no way it will ever soar through the sky. Someone clearly hasnt watched Happy Feet 2.
Nagito has very strong opinions on the natures vs nurture debate and hes going to take up five minutes at the start of the chapter here to make sure you hear all about it.
Nagito: Admiration iswising you could be like the object of your admiration. Nagito I just checked and you cant define a word by using the same word again. Thats cheating. Transubstantiation iswhen something is transubstantiated.
I apparently have a lot of thoughts on this Nagito monologue. One more. He says he is fine if someone kills him because I want to see with my own two eyesthe absolute hope that lies ahead. Psst Nagito if you let someone kill you you wont be able to see anything with your own two eyes.
uh did someone kill Nagito? Someone interrupts his monologue to tell him to shut up and then some sort of attack happens and then the scene fades outs. I not complaining, but I definitely do not remember him dying so Im assuming he was just knocked out for now.
Hiyoko, on wondering why it seems like everyone is bummed out over yesterday: Still I understand about Mr. Ham Hands, but is there even a reason for us to be sad about Teruterus death? Shh guys everyone shut up. Shes making a great point.
Holy shit Akane sets up Hiyoko with the longest ya stank joke of all time. I dont think she even means to be a joke, but Hiyoko is being a jerk and then Akane stands there sniffing for a while asking if anyone smells that terrible smell. Then lets it build up for another couple of minutes, and then says the stinkiness if coming from Hiyoko and everyone yells "OOOOOOO!" really loud like when someone dissed someone else back in 7th grade science class.
Apparently she hasnt been bathing because she doesnt know how to tie her kimono sash. Everyone agrees she smells. Mahiru volutneers to help, partially because she is a nice person and partially because that stank is interfering with her camera lens.
Nekomaru and Kazuichi both immediately crack when someone brings up the fact Nagito isnt here. So we can probably cross these two off the list of potential murderers. Theyd be crying and speaking Cajun haflway through the first nonstop debate.
Monomi has opened up another island for us to explore by beating the robot guardian. Everyone is excited to find a way off the island. Hate to tell you guys. There isnt going to be one. I know there are six chapters and I doubt chapter 3-6 are you guys relaxing at home after Kazuichi McGuyvers a ship.
I have no clue what happens but Hajime somehow gets late night Cinemax access to Hiyoko and Mahiru showering together. The cops are called shortly thereafter and a tearful Hajime is lead away in handcuffs in front of his friends and family.
Ibuki screams on the beach and the music turns to oh no someone is being murdered music. Turns out Nekomaru and Akane are just fighting each other. Nekomaru kicks her ass even though hes wearing sandals. Akane will never get her black belt at this rate.
The shower in the beach house is out of order. Monokuma needs better handymen for his death games.
Kazuichi: Im never gonna give her up! Hajime: You might let her down, though.. Dang a Rick Roll burn. Truly the most devastating of all the burn subtypes.
The pamphlet to Jabberwock Island is in English, a language Hajime has somehow never seen before. Luckily Sonia knows 30 languages including the one they are both currently speaking so it isnt a problem.
Monokuma hints THE ENTIRE ISLAND is artificial and both Sonia and Hajime assume he must be lying which leads me to believe he is actually telling the truth!
We find a book that talks all about serial killers including Genocide Jack. Hopefully the summary is just she kinda sucks and was one of the worst parts of any cast she might appear in.
Haha Sonias mosttight! voice line is awesome and I hope she uses that a lot.
We learn about some Sparkling Justice serial killer and now I have to hope that of all the plot points in the first game, they dont reuse the absurdly dumb actually someone here is a serial killer! one.
The ancient ruin is clearly Hopes Peak Academy. No one else seems to think anything of this except Hajime who is like oh I guess I can see the resemblance maybe nah its probably nothing even though they show almost the exact same same school in a flashback.
In continuing with the theme of obvious things people somehow dont notice, everyone except Chiaki somehow seems to miss the massive chaingun next to the door. It is pointing like directly at the screen to enter the password and multiple people are queuing up to touch it like they have a death wish.
Monokuma shows up to let us in on the people that did this to us a shadowy organization called World Ender that ended the world. I look forward to meeting the heroic group of adversaries that are trying to stop them, called TEMPORARY AUTHOR PLACEHOLDER NAME 6.
Kazuichi and Nekomaru knocked out Nagito and are keeping him tied up in the abandoned hotel place where he can't bother anyway. They didn't tell this to anyone because it was a "shockingly good idea" and they were worried it didn't fit with their previous characterization.
FREE TIME! I spend it all with Hiyoko because I'm kind of curious if she will be nicer to me in free time than she is in regular time. She is not.
Monokuma calls us down to show us this new video game he made. It is called "Danganronpa" and we get sucked into a singularity.
It is actually called Twilight Murder Mystery Syndrome (or something close to that), a sequel to some game Chiaki knows because she has her PhD in made up video games.
Oh this is the motive for the next killing. Psst hey guys just don't play it. Problem solved!
Wow Monokuma being revealed as an indie game developer combined with that world ender twist was so mind blowing it shouldve been called game ender because that is where my notes stop. No clue why I stopped right after the next motive was introduced but, alas, this is where we must bid adieu to past Suprak. Farwell jerk! Have fun living the next four years under the Trump presidency.
