And I also think in the time it would take the killer to think to grab the stove, run to the storage room, move the boxes, sneak under the boards, shimmy to where Byakuya happened to belikeno. This would take way to long and why would they even assume that Byakuya would be under the table for them to stab in the first place?

Chiaki also thinks Byakuya probably saw Teruteru under the floorboards and was protecting Nagito. GREAT PLAN BYAKUYA. This crazy dude is just going to try and kill again and you threw yourself onto a meat skewer for him. Also, you probably couldve yelled or flipped the table over or something instead of getting yourself killed. Total Leon move there, pal.
Would have been better if Nagito was just an agent of chaos and was helping Teruteru from the beginning instead of this overly convoluted crazy plan, too.
Yeah Monokumas explanation makes the most sense that Teruteru just saw an opportunity to kill Nagito and took it to get off the island. Interesting bit of back story with Teruteru and his mom. ALMOST makes me feel bad for him. Yknow. If he hadnt just tried to kill me. Him begging to find out what happened to his mother as he is dragged away for his deathpoor guy. Execution pretty solid, too.

Also also are they really not going to explain Byakuyas absurd weight gain? Like, what the hell game? I thought this would be a plot point of some sort. Like he couldnt deal with the stress of what happened in the first game. Or he got stung by all the bees at once. Or something. Why is he fat? Is this a weird sexual thing, Japan? Is this some fetish I dont know about? An engorgement fetish? WHY IS THIS A THING. Truly the great unsolved mystery of this game.
Murder Plan Grade: D. Teruteru gets points for not noticing his name was written out in blood at the crime scene, but everything else about this was a terrible idea. Teruterus major plan seemed to be relying on Nagito to help him, and as a rule of thumb you probably shouldnt entrust your survival to a complete raving lunatic. Sure, crazy person who I just tried to murder and saw wandering around pantsless and trying to paint all the cats, you seem like a super cool person to team up with. Even if it had worked, he didnt really do much of the work in his defense. Once Nagito gave up he started blabbering in a terrible fake Cajun accent and couldnt even think of one thing in his defense. ALSO, even if Mikan hadnt fallen down and accidentally had sex with everyone in the room on her way down, maybe it isnt a good idea to pretend youre in a location when you have no possible way of being there. I mean, why even fake establish yourself there in the first place. For all they knew, the murder occurred in the dining room. Placing yourself there is the dumbest possible thing he couldnt done. Thats the opposite of what murderers are supposed to do. He created an anti-alibi for himself. Also, the logistics of it still bother me. In the dining room, the lights go out, there are roughly five lines of dialogue, and Byakuya gets stabbed. In the kitchen, Teruteru grabs the portable stove, removes the meat skewer, goes out to the hallway, closes the door so his light cant get through, runs to the storage room, moves around the various junk in his way, climbs down into the secret basement, shimmies over to where the glowing paint is, and then stabs Byakuya. Im more worried about Teruterus obvious time manipulation skills at this point than the fact he just tried to kill us all.
