they couldve easily solved this situation by showing pictures or background but wanted to have a power fit and not just show her that it wasnt her phone, especially since the cases were the same
like the people with the phone eggd it in and escalated when the womans reaction wasnt totally off, especially because they didnt back down with their bs when the manager was there

Considering she picked this kid out for having a phone and her first instinct is that "he stole it, he can't have a phone that looks identical to mine" a safe assumption can be made that she did it because he was black.
A manager is not a fucking police officer. He had no right to intervene and enable this crazy womans behavior. He should have just called the police or security once it escalated to a conflict.
Also, if someone stops you in the middle of the street and says you are wearing their underwear, would you strip right there to prove your innocence? Why should this person have to prove to a fucking hotel manager that he didn't steal a phone?
I forgot that managers don't actually work for companies they manage. ---
