You know, I think I am remembering almost all of this case now that I play it again. Nagito was trying to killsomeone with his glow in the dark knife and Byakuya shoves him out from under the table only to get killed by Teruteruwho was trying to kill Nagito? I dont remember why he was trying to kill Nagito or exactly how Nagito caused the blackout or why Byakuya didnt deflate when stabbed, but I have the general outline of the case already which will make this easier.
It is weird to have this additional perspective because now I am noticing small errors I didnt see my first time through (or at least I dont think I did). Byakuya was supposedly stabbed from under the floor by Teruteru, right? But if that was the case wouldnt his wounds be in straight lines? Like, for the slats between the floorboards, they make a big deal about being large enough to stick something through earlier in the chapter, but even if Teruteru could fit something through, you wouldnt think the wounds would be all spread out like this over the body. It should be like two parallel straight lines of wounds, right? Maybe Im forgetting something else and it makes sense, but the victim report shows the stab wounds pretty much all over his torso. Sloppy forensic work by Monokuma, maybe.
See this is why I like Gundham. He has this huge long aside about the hell hound earring he received for fighting back this bloodthirsty beast and he builds it up and up and then hes just like yeah I need it to commemorate that time I bested that Pomeranian. Thats just good writing, and it made me smile. SUCK IT 2016 SUPRAK.
I like Mahiru here too. I feel like she has a very human reaction to Byakuya dying which is in stark contrast to Gundham losing his mind about his fake mythical earring.

Every now and then this series gets a bit too coy with what is an obvious piece of evidence. There are night vision goggles under the table, and a case in Byakuyas big case that looks exactly like their shape and size. And yet Hajime has to be coy about jeez I wonder what was in there. Everyone else figured that out like ten minutes ago game, so no need to be shy with it.
The toilet is still locked and whoever is inside is too shy to say anything when we knock. I dont know who it is, but Im going to guess not Nekomaru as that was the dude yelling about him pooping a couple of minutes ago and I feel like they wouldnt have missed the opportunity to use that voice line if he was the one in there.
Monokuma is the one who reset the breaker which is a weird thing to have happen. Dude is straight up working against the killer. Imagine how much more the killer couldve gotten done if everyone was stumbling around in the dark for ten minutes trying to get out.
I dont know enough about A/C controls, but are there ones that let you set the temperature at 86? That seems like an absurdly high temperature. Might as well just be in a sauna at that point.
Kazuichi thinks the killer has to be Peko, which was one of Supraks suspects in 2016, too. I am vaguely insulted that the idiot character had the same theory as me.
For some reason it is funny to me that Kazuichis account which is him accusing Peko of being the murderer is obtained by talking to him in the same very small room Peko is in. He should be like yeah Peko has to be the killer and then she should cut in and say hey I can hear you, you moron
