Kazuichis crying animation is one of the strangest crying animations Ive seen in a visual novel. His eyes turn into sunny side up eggs.

There is some sort of doomsday clock in the middle of the island now counting down to something. No one knows what, not even Monomi. Im going to take a wild guess and say bad.
The timer on it is just flashing all sorts of random numbers and only counts down during a little cutscene. There goes my plan to just idle the system until it got to zero!
There seems to be two separate forces being jerks here. Whatever Monomi is, for brining us here, and whatever Monokuma is, for trying to get us to kill each other. I suppose they could be working together, but that would be a really dumb twist so I doubt thats the case.
Byakuya hypothesizes an enormous organization is behind this, and mentions his corporation, Fuyuhikos yakuza, and Sonias kingdom as examples. So I immediately cross those three out of the running for being the person behind this. Too obvious. Needs to be someone with big connections but secret big connections.
I hate using this word, but I feel like it is really the first time Ive seen an opportunity to do so where it actually applies. Kazuichi is a simp for Sonia. And so far that is all he is. He's been a coward and a simp and no wonder I forgot him entirely.

HAM HANDS! The nickname so amazing I remembered it four years later. I had forgotten like half of the characters actual names, but Ham Hands persevered.
When Monokuma calls us late at night, it is way past Fuyuhikos bedtime and he is extra cranky. He tells us he can do it you know. Im assuming the it is sex, and he most definitely can not as he is a small child. It might be murder, but thats even more absurd as he wont have fine motor skills for at least another two years.
Byakuya gets in the way and loudly and repeatedly claims I will not let anyone die and let anyone become the victim. *Its Always Sunny Music plays* BYAKUYA LETS SOMEONE DIES AND LETS SOMEONE BECOME THE VICTIM.
Theres all this wow Byakuya youre sooooo cool kind of responses whenever he talks and it gives me fanfiction sort of vibes where all the OCs praise the actual characters apropos of nothing because the writer just wanted to talk about how cool the original characters were.

So I had forgotten about this traitor storyline but it makes sense if Monomi/Monokuma are on different sides. I would assume whoever this traitor is would be the person that brought us here and is working with/controlling Monomi, while Monokuma and whoever is controlling him are the people that want us to kill each other. So would that mean there are two different students in this group that are part of these factions (one for Monomi and one for Monokuma)? maybe? The twist cant be oh it was this character YOU DONT KNOW ABOUT AND HAVE NEVER HEARD OF BEFORE because that just is bad writing. So if Monomi/Monokuma are truly two different factions, than part of the mystery here is which two people in the group are no good TRAITORS.
Hajime basically has to be one I feel like. Maybe Byakuya isnt off the table either, even though he dies. It would be the twist-iest kind of twist for one of the villains to be the guy from the first game who also died early on. Maybe his evil turn caused stress eating, who knows.
So I vaguely remember Byakuya getting stabbed trying to prevent a murder, but if I didnt know better Id say hes trying to orchestrate a murder. We need to be all together in an enclosed space with no outside interference. Bro thats the set up to like five murder mysteries I can think of just off the top of my head. Youre tempting fate here.

Hiyoko accuses Ham Hands of sexual harassment for feeling her up while he was doing body checks at the door. Hajime is like nah its fine he did it to the boys too. HOW DISMISSIVE. Still hes probably right. I think the only thing Byakuya would get handsy with is that meat on the bone from the kitchen.
Also is meat on the bone a thing? I specifically remember this wording giving me trouble during the case because you have to write it out and I had never heard of this phrase before.
Byakuya devours the churrasco because he says the iron skewers are too dangers. This indeed proves true after Byakuya consumes the dish whole and accidentally eats two iron skewers himself.
