Not only is the media super biased over there it's also very insular. You don't really get stories outside US unless its about UK or Canada. I already knew the Hungary situation because BBC covered it multiple times. Not like super deep knowledge since I don't live there, but the basics of the right wing lurch (along with Poland) and clashing with the EU. They signed up for this thing and want all the benefits without buying into the values. Ironically Poland is very anti-gay and anti immigration but they were the main cause of Brexit with their flood of immigrants taking up jobs etc. So when this story broke (it was already covered on Politics board) it was of no surprise to me this clown was Hungarian.
