I imagine if things get tough I'll switch him over, all the appropriate quarts are being leveled either way. It worked out after a few tries (winning wasn't the problem it was doing so with the AP bonus) , but I still can't get over how messed up that last fight in Act 1 was mechanically. Cold Steel has a LONG history of giving you the menu between fights in this kind of situation, but they just didn't this time, I guess...to keep the flow going?
