I completely understand the transphobia accusations and I think there are sexist aspects in his work too. A lot of those things aren't supported by evidence, he often likes to jump from claims that have evidence to tangential conclusions that would never fly in actual peer reviewed work but YouTube and popular science publications won't be affected.

That said the white supremacy stuff feels like buzzwords. I hate when people just generically attack someone without thinking about whether or not the attack has merit.

Like I said, its pretty moderate conservative stuff. Being mildly transphobic or sexist doesn't really equate to being alt-right, white supremacist, etc.

is peterson the guy who likes to debate random people on the street and then make a hot take video with all the times he gets destroyed cut out?

I think you're thinking of Steven Crowder.

Employees expressing disagreement with actions taken by their company = crying

Daughter of author expressing that such employees should be fired = not crying?

To be fair, checking other articles about this, some of the employees were apparently literally in tears during their objection. That is, they aren't using "crying employees" as a hyperbolic dig for employees complaining, but that some of them were actually crying.

This is such a weird response. Nobody has claimed otherwise, but for some reason "free speech motherfucker" is such a common response to people being criticized for things they say.

To be fair, he was responding to a post that was saying the book shouldn't be published at all, rather than a criticism.
