I enjoyed Random Numbers but wasn't as much of a fan of Seven Wonders Overtime. These were both rereads for me since I had read them before but it was interesting to compare translations. Tsuruya's Challenge was pretty good and I was happy with being able to figure out some of the things that didn't rely on Japanese wordplay. But, at the same time it definitely felt like I was missing out with not being able to read the original Japanese. There were things like the characters saying T's Japanese was odd, but I couldn't really tell what the issue was and sometimes I wasn't sure if I should just give up on a mystery or not due to language barriers. Another area I felt like I was missing out was with all the mystery discussion at the start since my experience with mystery doesn't extends much further than Umineko. Coincidentally, I was actually just reading an article by Ryuukishi the other day about the "Late Queen Problem" which came up in this volume. Now the long wait for the next volume begins but the foreshadowing about the artifact is hopefully a sign that there's something not to far off. ---
