if it's a deal like the witcher author made with CDPR most likely because he thought it wouldn't become as big as it did , then it's pretty sad to moan about it decades later.

Could have been a contract where he was paid more upfront but in exchange signed away his royalty rights. I think it's safe to assume that he had no idea it would become as big as it did.

He also has a net worth of $50 million and his Netflix deal is worth $20 million per special, though, so he's not exactly hurting. I'm actually curious how much it would cost for him to just buy the rights to his show back from comedy central.
