That being said, (potential spoilers below) I didn't get the hype- there was a character battle just before I played LiS for the first time and a few people were trying so hard to get Kate in so I was seeing her name everywhere. Naturally I assumed she'd have some huge role in the game instead it was just a scene or two and I said "that's it?!" and couldn't believe she was getting such a huge push for something so small.
