Yes, I know stuff like Long John Silvers exists, but McDonalds, while delicious, has some seriously nauseating food. It's a bit of a paradox as taste wise, Mcy D's is actually pretty tasty. Super tasty fries. Very salty, great texture. Burgers taste pretty damn good while you're eating them. Breakfast...most of it is pretty solid. Good ice cream.

But afterwards...I feel like total dogshit. They must seriously put like drugs in their food as I crash harder on mcy d's food than anything I know.

Burger King absolutely tastes worse, but at least I don't go into a diabetic coma just eating their burger and fries like I do McDonalds.

That's because Mcdonalds and Subway are arguably the baseline for fast food. While they have some meals that can be awesome when prepared right, for the most part they are just a consistent force in the fast food industry. As long as the food is fresh, you know your getting a meal that is middle of the road for somewhat affordable prices no matter where you go.

Meanwhile, other places have highs that are higher than Mcds, but their lows also fall far far below Mcds. And I'm just nitpicking now, but what they serve isn't Ice Cream, hell even Dairy Queen doesn't market it as Ice Cream. It's more like a custard, hence why the soft serve looks the way it does. Different ratios of ingredients, which allows it to blend better. If you've ever wondered why a milkshake at a diner looks completely different than what you get a Mcds or Dairy Queen, now you know :)
