It's honestly kind of strange to see Trump try to prolong the inevitable only to embarrass himself even further every step of the way.

I also ran into someone on YT who insisted that Trump could not have possibly lost the election because he had "historic" voter support, and then he said that Trump was looking good for re-election because his stats for the economy and his popularity were "average" (is this referring to pre-pandemic?) plus something else I don't remember. This all sounds so stupid the more I process it. I think Trump's base is not even just delusional, they're outright masters of self-projection. They assume Biden's inability to draw crowds compared to Trump should have been an indicator of an imminent loss without realizing that there are more ways to campaign than just holding constant rallies. They make up the idea of "Trump Derangement Syndrome", but they arguably act even worse just at the thought of a Democrat winning the election. What world do these people live in?

I think America just rejected Trump full-stop. Even if he runs again in 2024, so many people will vote against him that he can't win.
