| ZMythos 11/15/20 9:11:04 PM #29: | Might have COVID. No sense of smell or taste, and sinuses have been swollen since Thursday. Anyway DStone did a good job with the OP. John was a great guy and I won't forget him. We had speed bumps when we first met but as we learned more about each other we were able to come to understand and respect one another. I've become so desensitized to news like this lately, but that doesn't mean I don't care. Just that I don't feel the initial impact as hard as I used to. Time passed and I did my grieving. He always struggled with his condition, but I think having good friends helped ease the burden. I think all of us who were close to him should take solace in that. I also think that it would be a disservice to his memory if we didn't recognize the impact he had on our own lives. He was an emotional outlet for me on some occasions; and, without marginalizing his condition, he helped me appreciate my own fortunes more. Anyway that's about it.
