Okay, let's try this again, because I had a really nice topic laid out and then I accidentally lost it.

Dear Friends of the Social, we are gathered here for the two-thousandth, four hundred and ninety-sixth topic to honor the life and memory of our dear friend John, who unfortunately passed away no more than a month ago. To the world, he was known as TheDogfather, but to us, we knew him as SSBBSB or SB for short. We may not exactly have started as friends, but over time, John became one of my biggest supporters of my art and even one of my loyal patrons. It is with that honor that I'd like to dedicate this topic to the selection of pictures that John commissioned from me leading up to a picture in tribute of his life and memory.

This was the first picture that John asked me to draw with Apple Bloom playing on a Nintendo 3DS. I haven't shared this pic anywhere else before because it was pony. We all knew that John loved his games to the point of being an established walkthrough writer on the site, so this was a reflection of his interests in a request. For the sake of the post, I'll believe the words that John and others have said when he said I was a good artist.

The next few pics are a bit on the risque side, as John always did appreciate that side of the art produced by the fandom. If you look at my artist tag on Derpi, MissMagnificence, the Fourth of July Applejack, Spitfire, and Lobster-Catcher Apple Bloom were commissioned by John, I believe.

This was one of the more interesting requests from John, being EqG Twilight Sparkle shitposting on the forum. John was one of us that didn't shy around from the world around us known as Current Events and he made that well known to everyone who interacted with him. It's why aside from SB, he had many names up until staying on TheDogfather. Funnily enough, this picture got enough traffic to be featured on Google Images for the result of that term. I think in a sort of way, John would be proud of that accomplishment.

This was also apparently a request from John even though this Rarity kicked off my anthro Catherine picture set. I believe it was just an open-ended request of drawing Rarity and I decided to fill in the blanks with my ideas. Once again, mixing video games and Pony together, I want to believe it was one of the pieces that John liked having requested it from me.

Now this was from a very interesting saga in John's life in the topics. Being the kindhearted individual he was, he dedicated one of his requests to drawing the favorite character of a close friend of his at the time, notably the Great and Powerful Trixie. I especially like the way that the fireworks and signature have an effect on the composition and I believe that both parties were satisfied with the gift upon it's delivery.

More risque pictures were commissioned, such as Derpy Hooves and another Applejack, which can still be found on Derpi.

The last picture requested actually came from a story commission, which surprised me that John wanted to support even my writing through my creative pursuits. It's a seductive Spitfire which matched the story involving her and his character. It was only a sketch, never finished and never posted until today. It can be found on my Twitter, @MissMagnificen8.

And lastly, we have the piece that I drew in tribute to John, upon his passing. Every step of this project was a challenge just because of the amount of emotion poured into it.

The subject is John's all-time favourite character, Octavia Melody. It was heartwrenching to see the amount of Octavia artwork that flooded in after John's passing, knowing that he would have loved every single picture. I describe this piece as the moment she performs a somber composition in front a crowd of thousands at a stadium. She plays on with every note as the audience watches her, except for one. But deep down, she knows that he is watching her. And he's proud of her. Just as he is proud of us.

This concludes the tribute I had in store for John. To this moment, I am still stricken with every emotion of his passing, because even though he was a great friend and loyal supporter, I didn't talk to him all that much this year and I would do anything to speak to him one last time. I hope you all enjoyed a little slice of this celebration of his memory and how much he meant to me. Hopefully to all of us. I may not be around as much as I used to be in the old days, but you can still find me in my galleries, on Twitter, Skype or Discord. To all of you I say, stay safe and live your lives the way that John would have wanted you to. I believe we owe him that much.

Please, try and enjoy this topic as best as you can. This is not a sad occasion, but a celebration of memory and John's life. And he wouldn't want anything more than seeing pictures of ponies and hints to especially lewd material. Thank you.
