His lawyer asked for leniency where he faced 35 years in the slammer noting that he was 17 at the time and apologized and said he was a "man ready to take reponsibility for the mistakes i made as a child. Lmao we need to stop letting legal definitions define what a child is as a whole in society. A seventeen year old is not a child, thats a man/woman. You need to treat a teenager like an adult in the last few years leading up to legal adulthood, so that when they hit 18 they will have already learned how to act appropriately instead of dropping them into the deep end.
