I feel like a lot of what people are calling spoilers only seem like spoilers because we actually know the context/what happens. Without that context, a lot of it is harmless to somebody that hasn't played the game because they're just not gonna get those implications. Calling them out as spoilers tends to do more damage than what's being talked about itself (not all the time, but it seems like 90% of the time) because then it draws attention to it and tells the player to focus on that aspect when they wouldn't have otherwise.
There have been some legit spoilers, sure, but I feel like a lot of this is super overblown.
Ideally, calling out spoilers would make the offenders go back and edit their messages
