I'm wondering if someone can answer something for me. I hear a lot of fear concerning the appointment of Amy Coney Barrett with regards to abortion-rights and other leftist ideologies. However, in a few of the speeches I've heard her give, she mentions taking a more objective stance on legal issues despite her own religious beliefs. I currently attend a Christian college at which I'm getting my masters in marital therapy. I have experienced wonderful professors who have covered topics such as gay marriage and women who have gotten abortions. None of my professors have displayed a judgemental view of these people and are all completely capable of being objective, highly capable therapists. I mention this because I believe that being Christian doesn't necessarily mean that you cannot be objective and recognize that what is best for other people, does not always align with your personal beliefs. Is there any legitimate reason to believe that ACB cannot perform her job objectively as well? I'm asking because I really want to know. I dont know her history as a judge. Has she had a history of enforcing fundamentalist beliefs on other people?
