might just be the map favouring crew over imposters but in general imo this game is pretty hard for imposters even when you stack a lot of the settings in their favour just because there are so many things they can potentially get caught for.

don't know all the tasks you did so far as well as the one you were pathing to next when meeting is called? probably imposter
spent longer in a section of the map than the tasks you said suggest? probably imposter
moving inefficiently in general? probably imposter
killed someone in complete isolation and no one saw you go in or leave? oops everyone else was clumped on the other side of the map you're imposter
Exactly why you gotta stack all the rules for them to even have a chance for winning. It does seem like crew win more often. BUT, it seems you're playing with eight and ONE imposter. That's a huge disadvantage and I don't know how you can balance that out. All I can say is that ten person games seem ideal.

The other reason why I say 1x speed IS better than 1.25 and people argue AGAINST 1x for this reason, is that if you're an imposter and see everyone on the right side of the ship, it's actually possible for you to call reactor and win because people can't make it to reactor on time. That's a fuck up for crew and a good eye on imposter. Alpha's pulled this off many times. I LIKE THIS IDEA. It means it's on CREW to be AWARE of where they're at and the imminent threat. This strat has been deployed on round one, where people often say lights are the strongest round one sabotage. The reverse also holds true, if everyone is on the left side, you call an o2 they might not make it on time if they're on 1x speed, whereas they'll always make it.

Actually now that I bring this up, this might be a way to balance mira and polus too, it feels like those sabotages are not threat. We really should consider tweaking movement speeds, I know it doesn't seem like fun but MAYBE MAYBE they can make it in the settings so you can alter how much time you have to fix a crisis to counteract the movement speed you know? So you CAN do 1.25x speed on skeld but now you have 15 seconds to fix o2 instead of 30 seconds you know?

Movement speed is a huge balancing point, but a lot of people attach a lot of fun TO the movement speed. I don't care I just se eit as a way to balance the game. If everyone moves slowly imposter are proportionately stronger for one reason...VENTS. Vents allow you to move large distances even when you move slowly. This is why I like 1x but even at 1x it seems preferable to run around than to vent. Right now vents just seem like hideaway places, if people moved slower vents could actually be a traversal mechanism. On polus it works like that a big, and on mira it's such a big deal to go to every vent that there's the door logs to counter that specifically.
