Wouldn't even let us have black trainers(sneakers) on. Had to be shoes or boots. I've never known any place with a uniform that allows modifications. I think I have. Though, this was when I was much younger. And there are apparently articles about how to modify school uniforms within the rules. And articles about it. And in the end.
