| Romulox28 10/23/20 7:30:03 PM #11: | i dated the same girl through the majority of my college years, so when we broke up right after graduation, i was enjoying the single life. all of my friends were messing around on this popular new app called Tinder so I figured I'd give it a try. most of the girls i met on there honestly werent that interesting, but with one girl i actually hit it off. i thought she seemed nice, we had a good convo, etc so we agreed to meet up at a bar in the southern part of the state (where she was staying with her parents for a few days). the day of the date comes and i realize that its a long drive down there and i dont really want to go. the idea of meeting a girl on a phone app seemed really weird to me so i text her and try to flake. she was cool about it and we ended up agreeing to just meet halfway so i was said fuck it, ill go. apparently she was furious and her mom was the one who convinced her to give me a second chance lol. so we end up meeting up, had a nice first date, a second date, etc, the rest is history. today we have been married 3 years and have a baby together. the crazy part is how how improbable it was that we even met in the first place. at the time my now-wife lived nearby me, but the day after we matched she went and stayed with her parents in a far-away town. so had we not matched that one day on tinder and if her mom had no prodded her to go out with me we would have never met. we had no mutual friends so the chance that we'd ever cross paths was pretty much nonexistent. crazy how this shit works out --- ...
