While I get lots of people love revenge, it doesn't actually do anything for society rather than let people get off to others suffering. Just because lots of society are okay with something, doesn't make it alright.

If we want to actually push for rehabilitation (and I get many don't want this) then we need to stop with letting these things happen. Actual paedophiles (those who have harmed children) likely can't do much rehabilitation, but unless you plan to lock everyone forever, then they need to be taught to overcome whatever the issue was that saw them put in jail so they can interact with society safely afterwards.

the usa has a justice system for a reason, inamtes can and should be punished for violence against other inmates, regaedless of the crime
