Its not about eliminating exchanges, its about a global currency that is built to be the standard of exchange. What hes saying is pretty stupid yeah, because obviously it is being changed. Hes basically describing the user experience. Using the XRP ledger, someone can send Yen and the recipient can receive USD. The Yen is exchanged to XRP, which is exchanged to USD. For almost free in 3 seconds. And a lot of banks are partnered with Ripple. And a lot of big financial institutions (like the OCC right here!) have been alluding to a technology extremely similar to XRP. We already have the USD is a ridculous statement but honestly im just happy somebody is taking the time.
